ModernLoop's Custom Attributes feature allows you to manage employee data efficiently, either individually or through bulk imports. Using the bulk import process, you can assign, update, or remove custom attributes for multiple employees simultaneously. This article provides step-by-step instructions and specifications for using the bulk import functionality.

Bulk Import Specifications

The bulk import process requires a CSV file with the following structure and requirements:

Required Fields

• Employee email: The email address of the employee (required).
• AttributeX:ValueX: These are created by replacing column headers with the parent attribute and value.

Column Values

• YES: Assign the employee to the attribute value.
• REMOVE: Remove the employee from the attribute value.
• Null (Blank): No changes will be made for that attribute value.

Steps to Upload Your File

1. Access the Custom Attributes Page:

   Navigate to Organization Settings → Interviewers → Custom Attributes.

2. Download the Template:

   Click the Download template button or access it from this help center article.

3. Fill in the Template:

   • Enter employee emails in the Employee email column.
   • Replace attribute headers (e.g., Attribute1:Value1) with the desired attribute and values (e.g., Coding:C++ where Coding is the parent attribute and C++ is the child value.).
   • Use YES, REMOVE, or leave blank for each attribute value.
