Smart Option Recipient Types
Task-Based Recipients
- Task assignee: The person assigned to the task.
- Task creator: The user who created the task.
- Task subscribers: Users who have subscribed to the task.
Candidate-Based Recipients
- Candidate coordinator: The coordinator assigned to the candidate.
- Candidate recruiter: The recruiter assigned to the candidate.
- Candidate sourcer: The sourcer assigned to the candidate.
Job-Based Recipients
- Job coordinators: Coordinators assigned to the job.
- Job recruiters: Recruiters assigned to the job.
- Job sourcers: Sourcers assigned to the job.
How to Add Smart Option Recipient Types
Smart option recipients can be added in two main ways: during the job setup or directly on the communications page.
Adding Smart Options in the Job Setup
- Navigate to Jobs: Open the Jobs tab and select the job for which you want to add smart options.
- Select the Stage: Choose the stage where you want to include smart option recipients.
- Locate Communications: Scroll down to the Communications section.
- Add Recipients:
- In the Additional Recipients field, select either CC or BCC.
- A dropdown list of available smart options will appear.
- Check the box next to the desired recipient(s).

Adding Smart Options in the Communications Page
Smart options can also be added dynamically during scheduling or task creation.
- Communications Tab:
- While scheduling an interview, navigate to the Communications tab.
- Add smart option recipients to the CC or BCC fields.
- Availability Requests or Self-Schedule Tasks:
- When creating an availability request or self-schedule task, add smart options in the recipient fields.

How to Split Recipient Smart Options
When a smart option includes multiple individuals (e.g., "Task subscribers"), you can split the group and send communications to specific individuals.
- Hover Over the Split Icon:
- Locate the smart option and hover over the split icon.
- A list of individuals in the group will appear.
- Split the Group:
- Click the split icon to separate the group into individual recipients.
- Remove any individuals you do not wish to include in the communication by selecting “x” next to their name.
